The most delicious bean dip and you can adjust the level of spices to your taste. This is a great use for my canned spiced pinto beans. Getting a stable of canned beans in your pantry opens up versatility in your cooking and recipes. Canned pinto beans can be made from beans, dipped in beans or added to soups and stews. You can make canned grabenzus from chickpeas and the liquid is used as a vegan condenser (aqua pub) or just eat with rice, soups and stews … here is my version of a honey bean dip.

Homemade bean dip

1 liter of pinto beans seasoned in cans (If you do not use my recipe, you will need to add the spices I use in my canned pinto to your bean dip.)
1 teaspoon hot sauce
Salt Dash
Dash ground pepper

Place beans in a bowl and mash beans with a fork or use a dipping blender to break up the beans. Add in the hot sauce and taste all the necessary salt and pepper. For another kick add a tablespoon of gelfano cut into thin cubes and sprinkle crumbled cottage cheese over the dip before serving. Serve hot or at room temperature with chips, crackers, bread, slices of cheese or vegetables of your choice.
