Is there anything better than cookies that you can make from ingredients you already have on hand? This There is no recipe for cookies to bake Takes just a few minutes, and they are rich, dumb and chocolate-chewing peanut butter!
Cookies in just 40 minutes and we give you pictures of each step!
I think no bake cookies are one of those classic cookies that should never go away, but always be forgotten. There’s not a single person I know (someone will probably leave a comment just to prove me wrong now, lol) who hates non-baking chocolate chip cookies filled with peanut butter and oats, they’re just too good.
And just like you, I grew up making these non-baking cookies all the time with my family. The sound of the two spoons ringing at each other while I would scrape the melting chocolate balls of the tasting on a sheet of cookies sealed forever in my heart and mind.
Do you remember making these cookies with someone in particular or is it the treat you could make yourself?

How to make cookies without baking
These are probably the easiest cookies you will ever make. Here are pictures of each stage so you know exactly what you are supposed to see along the way.
- Prepare baking paper with parchment or sift.
- Add the sugar, butter, milk and cocoa powder to the pot and bring to a boil.
Pssst !!!! Our little guy added ingredients for me and I hurried to take a picture because he was so happy. It’s blurry from my load, but do you see it? Do you see his laughter out loud in the reflection? Oh, there will still be my beating heart.
- When it starts to boil, set a timer for one minute and let it roll.
- Remove immediately from the heat and stir in the peanut butter, vanilla and salt.
- Add the oats and mix everything together. Then lower the batter with a spoon onto the prepared baking pan.
- Allow them to cool on the counter or you can put them in the fridge if you want to eat them earlier (me!).
The recipe instructions can also be found in the recipe card below.
Tips for making cookies without baking
Here are some tips to get the best results:
- Use quick oats instead of old-fashioned – they are better fortified with faster oats.
- If you only have old-fashioned oats, throw them in a food processor and beat them a few times.
- The chocolate mixture should be at full boil and not boiling. So it should be in the bowl for exactly 1 minute.
- We prefer creamy peanut butter, but if you want more crunch, use crispy peanut butter.
How to prevent baked cookies from drying out
The biggest culprit when you have dry cookies is Excessively boiling. When you boil the chocolate too much, you cook too much of the liquids and the oatmeal will absorb so much of the liquids already that it eventually makes them drier.
Boil for only one minute, mix quickly while adding the rest of the ingredients and then quickly place the cookies on a baking sheet so that they do not continue to cook in the pan.
What if my No Bake cookies are too soft?
You may not have boiled the chocolate mixture long enough. When you boil the chocolate and sugar, you are actually making candy. If you boil sugar for too long, it becomes brittle and crumbles (as mentioned above). If not boiled long enough, it remains sticky.
Put them in the fridge to help them install if your cookies are too soft.
Do not you keep cookies to bake in the fridge?
Baked cookies cannot be stored at room temperature, or in the refrigerator.
If your kitchen is hot, it is best to store them in the refrigerator.
How long will cookies not be baked?
No bake cookies will be kept Up to 4 days When properly sealed in an airtight container. I prefer to wrap mine in cling film and store in ziplock with the air squeezed out for best results.
Can not freeze cookies to bake?
Yes, these cookies freeze great! It is best to place the cookies on a baking sheet and put in the freezer for a few hours to harden. Then place the cookies in an airtight container or in a ziplock bag. They will last in the freezer for about 3 months.
