Happy weekend friends! We’re just starting to edit Galapagos photos from our WGC trip a few weeks ago and I wanted to share! Take a peek and also read a little more about our adventures below …

When I first decided to do a host tour of What’s Gaby Cooking, I did not really know what to expect. Anyone would want to come? Where can we go that makes sense for a group of 30+ people? Will there be enough adventure to entertain everyone. The first company that came to mind is Quasar. I have traveled with them twice before (both times in Patagonia) and my parents did it Galapagos With them a few years before an epidemic. It felt like the right move. Luxury boating, amazing food, daily adventures, snorkeling with sharks … Sign up.

So I took the word out, wrote down clues for a week so we could run it like a surprise vacation and then a year later we went out on a boat with 30 people who loved food, drink and adventure like me!

To say it was a once-in-a-lifetime trip does not do it justice.

The animals, the scenery, the boat, the food, the staff … everything was great. But what was even better was the friendship formed on board the ship. I mean … vacationing with your closest friends can be hard … but vacationing with 30 people, mostly strangers … it’s everyone’s guess. But a day into the trip, all the worry I had about everyone getting along was gone. Our group that took time off from work, flew to Quito and embarked on this journey could not have done better in my wildest dreams. Everyone was ready for adventure and that’s exactly what we did! Check out some of our photos from the trip! And if you want to watch it and see all the amazing sea life that is best captured on video – there you are! For years I have been sending friends and families on the Quasar Patagonia trip … and I can say with 1000% certainty … this is how you should do the Galapagos too! xoxo G
