I’m sure we all love a Good pop-up. It cooks quickly, it’s healthy, it’s hard to find someone who will not enjoy it … just the so-called perfect combination. I think most people use chicken when cooking this dish, but personally, I prefer pork instead.

My recipe for pork frying requires a lot of vegetables, but since it is such a versatile dish, you can definitely tweak it to your liking. If you do not like some of the vegetables I am about to use, just leave them out or replace them with another type.

What piece of pork to use in the bounce?

This dish cooks pretty fast so you should use it Types / cuts of pork that do not require long cooking times. In my opinion, Pork almonds are the best Cut but you can also use pork loin. Just be sure to cut the meat against the grain and always aim for delicate and thin slices when using pork milk. In the case of almonds, larger pieces are still fine.

advice: Pork almonds so good! Read mine Tips and ideas for cooking pork almonds Post to learn more about this piece of pork. Here are some more recipes with pork almonds: Grilled pork almonds, Pork almond skewers, Pork almond medallions and Pork schnitzel with mayo potato salad.

Should all sauces be used?

Well yes, stir-fries is an Asian dish back then You can not really cook it without using some Asian sauces. Soy sauce and oyster sauce are a must. Oxen wine also helps, but it’s one you can leave without ruining the dish. You can replace rice vinegar with plain vinegar or lemon juice. It is difficult to replace sesame oil in everything so it is also a must. As for the sweet chili sauce, I like to add it but it’s another ingredient that you do not really have to add.

How to cook stir-fried pork

Check out the video recipe below or read on, step by step instructions are below.

Start at Trim the pork almonds, We need to remove any silver skin or oily parts. After cleaning, cut the meat into Small pieces.

Slice the meat into small pieces.

I like to soak the meat before cooking, so let’s do it now. Add a tablespoon of soy sauceOne tablespoon of Wine shaking2 tablespoons of Oyster sauceOne tablespoon of SugarOne teaspoon of Sesame oilOne teaspoon of Potato or corn starchOne teaspoon of Rice vinegar And a spoonful of Sweet chili sauce. Finish it with a generous amount of White pepperMix well and let the marinade.

We can prepare the vegetables in the meantime so that we have them ready when we start cooking the sautéed pork. I use a big one Red onion That I just cut into larger pieces. Next comes a small one Squash And I leave the skin on. Keep up with 2 carrotsPeeled and cut into pieces.

Peppers Next, I use both Red and yellow These, about half of each. This will give this dish some beautiful colors. We need some garlic Even 3 thinly sliced cloves should suffice. Let’s not forget how many Spring onion, I have 2 parts and I use both the white part and the green part. The last vegetable I use is Fresh ginger, Peel and slice it thinly. By the way, as mentioned at the beginning, you are welcome to skip some type of vegetable or add as many as you like.

Here are the vegetables I'm going to use today.

Let’s make some A sauce we will use later. Stir in about a cup of Beef or chicken stock With 2 tablespoons of soy sauce1 tablespoon of Oyster sauce And a heaping teaspoon of Potato or corn starch. Mix well and set aside.

advice: In case you do not have stock on hand use only water And dive in half a Cube of broth.

A sauce we will use later.

One last thing before we start cooking. we need Prepare the noodles. The type I use today does not need to be cooked, so I just soak them in hot water or so 10 minutesS.

Soak the noodles in hot water.

And now for the fun part. To heat a Great wok And add some oil. I use Rice oil Today, but feel free to use your favorite type.

advice: I very much prefer to use a wok when making this stir-fried pork, but even a regular frying pan or frying pan will work.

Every stir-fry starts with meat.

Add the meat and Fry it on all sides. In case the meat starts to stick to the bottom, add a splash of water and drain the wok quickly. Fry about 5 to 7 minutes And take it out of the pan.

Once the meat is ready, take it out of the pan.

Do not clean the wok and add a little oil again. Add the vegetables gradually, Apply garlic and red onion.

Fry the onion and garlic.

Fry while stirring 2 or 3 minutes And continue with ginger and carrots.

Next come carrots and ginger.

Fry while stirring for another 3 minutes and add the rest of our vegetables. And again, if something starts to stick to the bottom, add a tiny splash of water.

All the vegetables are already in the wok.

Fry while stirring for another 3 minutes and add the sauce. It is best to mix again, before pouring into the pan as the starch tends to settle to the bottom.

Add the sauce to our stir-fried pork.

Mix properly and give the sauce a flavor. In most cases it needs a bit Salt And a little extra White pepper. The sauce should be on the thicker side than the starch, if not, just mix a little more starch with water and add to the wok.

We’re almost done, Add all the meat and mix properly.

Return the meat to the pan.

My wife loves some peanuts In the popup then I add a little, but you do not have to.

Add some peanuts in case you like them.

Everything looks good so it’s time for the final step. We need to mix the noodles inside. It can be a little complicated to be honest. I like to use two spatulas, it’s a little easier that way. Go downstairs and pull the noodles slowly. This way, the noodles will not break so much.

advice: You can really stop here and Skip the noodles. Rice works great as an addition to this meal.

It's time for noodles.

It does not have to be perfect, Just make sure the noodles are nicely covered in the sauce.

Our sautéed pork is prepared and mixed with the noodles.

And we’re done, it’s time to serve. I like to sprinkle some sesame seeds On top of my pop-up, but again, this is an optional step.

Place over sesame seeds for decoration.

And that’s for today. Thanks for reading and see you soon! 🙂

An optional tip for this sautéed pork

  • As I have already mentioned, You can play with the vegetables and change the types. Here are some popular options for stir-frying: cabbage, broccoli, bamboo sprouts, bean sprouts, bok choy, green beans, snow peas, mushrooms to choose from … Use whatever you like.
  • I have already mentioned this several times here on the blog … My wife hates spicy food so I usually avoid using anything spicy when I cook. But adding some chili or some spicy sauce will definitely take this stir-fry to another level 🙂
  • You do not have to use the same noodles as I used. Choose the type you like best … rice noodles, glass noodles, udon noodles, soba noodles … the choice is yours.
  • You can use the same recipe with a different type of meat. Chicken, turkey (breast), beef … they all work fine, just make sure you do not overcook the meat.
