Chocolate spinach ingredients

  • Mix the cherries, cream, milk, sugar, salt and vanilla in a blender. Grind until a completely smooth mixture is obtained. Serve immediately for soft ice cream or pour into an ice cream machine and freeze according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

Chocolate spin instructions

  • While the ice cream is mixing, mix the chocolate chips and coconut oil in a small glass bowl. Heat in the microwave for a minute. Remove from the microwave and stir until smooth. If necessary, heat for another 20-30 seconds. Stir until smooth.

  • Allow to cool slightly at room temperature while the ice cream finishes oxidizing. (If it solidifies too much to drip while waiting, reheat for 10-15 seconds and stir again.)

  • When the ice cream finishes oxidizing. Transfer about a third of the ice cream to an airtight container and generously pour about a third of the melted chocolate. Repeat twice. Freeze until served.

I make this ice cream even with and without the chocolate. The chocolate swirl is optional, but I highly recommend it.
