These hearty cookies are the perfect choice when you need a sweet treat or a tasty snack. Enjoy with a cup of tea on a cool autumn afternoon or for breakfast on the go.
Makes 24 cookies
Component:
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar, packed
2 eggs
2 tablespoons of 1% or 2% milk.
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 ¾ cups flour
¼ cup wheat germ
1 teaspoon of baking soda
½ teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
2 tablespoons of chia seeds
2 cups of large oats
½ cup chocolate chips
½ cup chopped walnuts
½ cup shredded coconut, sweetened
½ cup dried cranberries
Arrival instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Line two cookie sheets with baking paper.
In a large bowl mix the sugar, butter and eggs. Cream until smooth. Add the milk and vanilla.
In a separate bowl, mix the flour, wheat germ, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, chia seeds, large oats, chocolate chips, walnuts, coconut and dried cranberries. Give everything a good mix.
Mix the dry ingredients into the butter mixture. Using a large spoon, drop the cookie batter onto the cookie sheets and bake for 10-12 minutes, until nicely golden on top.
