When I was a teenager, I ate this marshmallow fluff dip for the first time, and while I think it’s from Shannon Matson—one of the sweetest, edgiest, most tender-hearted people I know—I could be totally wrong, too. Either way, it is Easy fruit dip It is pure heaven and I have three kids here who lick their bowls clean so as not to miss a single segment.

And the best part? It only uses two ingredients. Boo-yeah. There is literally nothing easier than buying two things at the store, whipping them up and serving with a fruit platter.

I’ve actually mentioned this a few times, but just in case you’re new to this blog, fruit and I are best friends. I’d actually take it over chocolate most of the time. Most of the time. (I mean, who could ever say no to a warm, homemade chocolate chip cookie?).

As I already said, this is such an easy fruit dip recipe! To make this strawberry dip, you will need:

  • Marshmallow Fluff – The jarred stuff you can buy at the store, Jet Puffed makes one called Marshmallow Fluff. I also heard you can buy strawberry flavored marshmallow cream, so if you can find it, go for it!!
  • Strawberry Cream Cheese – Philadelphia is my favorite brand, it’s a 7.5 oz container

Seriously, that’s all it takes to make this amazing cream cheese dip! The exact measurements for each ingredient and instructions for making the dip can be found in the recipe card at the end of the post.

How to make fruit dip

Strawberry Marshmallow Dip is so simple to make I think it takes less than 5 minutes to make! Here’s how to make a fruit dip:

  1. Beat the marshmallows and cream cheese together until you get a smooth texture.
  2. Pour into a serving plate and serve alongside the fruit of your choice.

Couldn’t be easier, right?! My kind of appetizer! This would be so cute at a little baby shower! Or a bridal shower! It’s always a hit!

What to serve with fruit dip

This is one of those fruit dip recipes that works best with strawberries and bananas, but really any fruit will work. Think: apples, pineapples, or even peaches and pears. You can also serve this dip with pretzels, Nila waffles, graham crackers and more!

Can I use a different flavor of cream cheese?

I don’t understand why not! Use any fruit flavored cream cheese you like. I’ve also seen cheesecake and brown sugar cream cheese, which would work nicely here as well.

Tips for making fruit dip

This dip recipe works best if you allow the cream cheese soften Just before mixing it with the marshmallow fluff. Let it rest on the counter for 10 to 15 minutes, then stir it into the fruit dip.

When serving this fruit dip, you may notice that your fruit browns quickly. Bananas and apples in particular brown pretty quickly once the air hits their flesh, but if you’re wondering how to keep apples and bananas from browning, you can always just toss them with a little lemon juice.

With that being said, I’m going to be completely honest with you, I don’t like doing it. Lemon juice adds a bit of zip to the fruit, so as much as it pains me to say it, I prefer to cut the fruit right before serving. Yes, that means we have one more thing to do before the guests show up, but I’m ready to do it!

  • Place the marshmallow fluff and the cream cheese in a bowl and with the help of an electric or manual mixer, beat both ingredients until a smooth texture is obtained.*

  • Pour into a serving plate and arrange fruits on a tray.

  • *It works best if you let the cream cheese sit out for 10 minutes first, but it’s not necessary.
  • This dip can be made up to two days ahead of time, wrapped tightly in saran wrap or stored in a crock pot until serving. Leftovers can be easily stored in the same way.
