How to cook Suam

In a cooking pot, heat three tablespoons of cooking oil and fry the garlic and onion. After the latter softens, add in 4 ounces of ground pork. The goal is to get a light to medium brown on your meat, so be sure to sear it for about 2 minutes. Next, add your white corn, and cook it for another 3 minutes.

After you cook yours suam na maisPork and corn, add 8 ounces of chopped shrimp. Cook it for about a minute.

In another bowl, meanwhile, combine the knorr crab and corn soup with four cups of water. Mix it well as you pour it into the cooking pot. Stir and bring to a boil, then continue to cook the soam mais for about 3 minutes. Do not raise your heat above a low or medium setting; The goal is to cook it as slowly and thoroughly as possible!

The last step in your suam na mais is to add your hot pepper or spinach leaves. After that, season with ground white pepper and fish sauce to taste. Just like that, your dish is finally ready!

Instructions

  • Heat oil in a cooking pot. Fry garlic and onion.

  • After the onion softens, add the ground pork. Fry it for 2 minutes or until the outside turns a light to medium brown color.

  • Add the white corn. Cook it for 3 minutes.

  • Put the shrimp in the cooking pot. Fry it for a minute.
