Crockpot BBQ Chicken is an easy dinner idea!

You know I’m an easy girl for dinner. make it easy Slow cooking recipe And we all upped our dinner game. And this Crockpot Shredded Chicken recipe is just as perfect in the cooler weather months as summer by the pool. In short, this is a recipe for all year round.

Plus, I use a secret ingredient in my pulled chicken that really makes it special!

So what’s the secret ingredient to shredded barbecue chicken?

Okay, so it might look a little weird, but I swear it tastes so good! I add Italian salad dressing to my BBQ dressing, and a packet of dry Italian salad dressing mix, like Seasons Good.

The extra flavor that the Italian dressing adds doesn’t make it “Italian”, it just gives it an amazing combination of flavors that you would never think would work together…but they do!

Like I said, not only do I use ready-made Italian salad dressing, I throw in a packet of good seasonings to boost the flavor as well as being a shortcut to seasoning.

I know a lot of people do and say it works great, but I’ve never tried it with this recipe. As long as the chicken is cooked to 165 degrees F, you should be fine, and of course this recipe cooks the chicken past that temperature because it is tender and can be shredded.

I imagine if you are using frozen brisket, you may need to add some cooking time!

Would boneless chicken thighs work?
